Two different ways of seeing the same information are battling each other for dominance. The mobile phone and and the desktop computer. It is very possible that the mobile phone will soon overtake the desktop.
What is bounce rate?
Bounce rate is people coming to a site and then leaving quickly. Bounce rate is considerably lower on desktop and tablet than it is on mobile. The pages per session is almost double on both the tablet and desktop and the average session is also longer on those 2.
Our school
The desktop sessions have been going down, while the mobile sessions have been going up. I think that next year they will be closer together. Bounce rates are higher on both desktop and tablet users than they are on mobile. The pages per session are also higher on those 2 than they are on mobile. The average session duration is about two times longer on both tablet and desktop than they are on mobile. The stats below compare to our school in how mobile is quickly taking over desktop.
