Responsive web design

What is responsive web design?
Responsive web design is how websites change when they are on different devices. Responsive web design has become important in how people will use multiple device on the same web site. A media query is a is a CSS module that allows the site to adapt to different conditions. A breakpoint is a break in the site.

Example

The image is full size, the type is larger, the navigation menus are more spread apart, the content has its own places, and the layout is simple.
The site is at maximum size and thats easy to tell because it has everything spread apart and gigantic.

The layout is a bit closer together, the image sizes are about the same, the type size is also about the same, the navigation is about the same, and the content is similar.
Layout is more close together, there are no images, the type size is much bigger the the others, the navigation is in its own sidebar,  the content is a lot closer to the other boxes.  http://froont.com/
